A webinar took place with German Anchor Business Companies on 29.10.2021. H. E. Ambassador Redwan Hussen, State Minister for Political and Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affair of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia made a key note speech. His Excellency high lighted on how Ethiopia is a preferred investment destination due to existing new Political and Economic Policies, Attractive Incentive Packages, Huge Market and Availability of Resources Including Young Competitive Labor Force, Arable Land, Industrial Parks, Comparatively Growing Economy, etc. H.E. also assured the business community of Germany his office’s and His Excellency’s full support.Questions and Answers with participants, Informative presentations were delivered from Ethiopian Investment Commission, Ministry of Trade and Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations(ECCSA).Ms. Claudia Voss, Managing Director of Afrika-Verein made encouraging welcome speech. H.E. Mulu Solomon Bezuneh, Special Envoy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the F.D.R. of Ethiopia in Germany has made a welcome speech and delivered Vote of Thanks while Confirming Ethiopia’s great future that should be tapped by the investors. At the Webinar on the importance of Higher Education and the Traditional Coffee Value Chain, H.E. Ambassador Mulu Solomon Bezuneh, Special Envoy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the F.D.R. of Ethiopia delivered a key note speech appreciating the focus of the research being on bringing the theories much closer to practice and the initiatives of the “Bavarian-Ethiopian Alliance for Applied Life Sciences”, Bavaria Universities in Germany, State of Bavaria and the German Government speakers and other participants were universities, business companies, government institutions research institutions, from Colombia, Cost Rica Denmark Ethiopia Kenya Germany, etc., The two days webinar which was conducted on October 28-29,2021 focusing on the importance of Higher Education and the Traditional Coffee Value Chain and Future trend in the Coffee Sector and Higher Education, Applied Research on Coffee Innovation was worthwhile. Speeches, presentations, questions and Answers were very informative to see the gap and help researches notice area to focus on. As Ethiopia is the origin of Human-kind and origin of coffee, issue of coffee value chain, marketing, innovation, etc., is very important as the new home grown economic policy of Ethiopia aims at valuable changes to happen. Near and Middle East on 27.10.2021. The discussion covered about Humanitarian Access, Human right issues, conflict on the northern part of the country and about the general peace of Ethiopia.
