Ambassador Eskindir Yirga delivered remarks at the Africa Business Forum organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ulm, a yearly forum aimed at strengthening business and investment links between Africa and Germany.
In his opening speech as a guest of honour, the Ambassador stressed the need to redirect German’s industrial focus towards Africa and highlighted the huge business opportunities unlocked in Ethiopia because of the fundamental economic reforms. Cooperation in the finance and logistics sector, digitalization and renewable energy are identified as preferred sectors of engagement.
The German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK) is the body representing the interests of trade and industry. All businesses, except the manual trades, in each area are members of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for that area.
